Hi, I’m Blake
So I thought it would be great to take a moment and introduce myself, so here it goes!
My name is Blake Reynolds, I am a Christian Music artist. I write, produce, and create songs to encourage and uplift people. Each song that I write is personal and comes from a different part of my journey. Releasing music, playing shows, and sharing about Jesus through music is one of the greatest joys of my life.
But, you already know that I am an artist, what else?
I am originally from a little town called, Roanoke, VA. My family and I lived there until moving to Belpre, OH in 2002 and in 2006 moved to Grand Rapids, MI. I’ve been in ministry since 2006, working as a youth leader, youth pastor, music director, and worship leader. When I first started in music, I hated it. I only did it because at the time, my dad was pastoring a small church in MI and they needed a bass player, but after much convincing and being forced to play, I fell in love! Consequently, writing and releasing my own music was also not something that I originally planned to do, but I knew that God had given me songs and music that He wanted me to release. So, in 2018 I released my first ever solo project, “No Other Name”, after that I began releasing covers and writing and producing more originals. I have had the privilege to work with some incredible producers: Micaiah Wesler, Jared Marc, keyboardist & producer for Austin French, Nick Lewkowski, and Littlebird Big Sound.
My dream is for music to become something that I do full-time, touring, traveling, and releasing music that encourages and inspires people and brings them closer to Jesus. If you haven’t had a chance to hear my music, be sure to check it out by clicking the buttons below!
RANDOM FUN FACTS ABOUT ME:
Favorite song you’ve written: Empty. This song is personal to me and came from a low point in my life. Writing this song was a blast and was definitely one of the most unique experiences I have had. You can read more about that in my other blog post here.

Musical Influences: Phil Wickham, Cory Asbury, Brandon Lake, and Tauren Wells
Do you do public speaking?: Yes, I have been public speaking since 2009. It is something I enjoy doing a great deal! Speaking with youth and adults.
How long have you been playing music?: I have been playing instruments since 2006. Released my first single “No Other Name” in 2018.
How did you get into music?: Long story short, my dad was a pastor, and the church he took over was a small church that didn’t have many musicians so I picked up bass guitar, started playing on the worship team, leading worship, and wrote/released my own music.
How many instruments do you play?: 7! Bass, acoustic, electric guitar, drums, mandolin, harmonica, ukulele.
Favorite projects you’ve worked on?: So I of course love working on original songs but recording Christmas music, is such a blast!
If you could write with any other artist, who would it be?: I don’t think that I could pick one. It would have to be John Cooper, from Skillet, Cory Asbury, Phil Wickham, and Brandon Lake.
