Special Guest - Katie Smith

"Bless Your Heart", Sweet Tea, Southern Slang, and an amazing testimony by Katie Smith. Katie is my guest today and she shares her story and what it means to be a light and to show the world - Jesus. She also takes the time to share how important adoption is. 

KATIE SMITH

Katie Smith is a Licensed Baccalaureate Social Worker in the state of Alabama with a heart for adoption and foster care.  In 2016, her family adopted from foster care, ultimately altering and guiding her life forever.  Katie graduated from the Ramp School of Ministry in 2018, where she also served on Chosen, ministering in multiple capacities at different churches, conferences, and other events.  Katie graduated with her Bachelor of Social Work degree from the University of North Alabama and has served in multiple capacities at her local church.  She also has previously served on the leadership team of the Huntsville Dream Center and has led multiple small groups equipping young teens for their future and guiding them to their Father to heal past hurts.  Katie currently resides in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, with her sweet pup, Pardi, where she acts as a school social worker, implementing crisis interventions and resource support within the local public schools.  She is currently in graduate school at the University of Alabama, pursuing a Masters in Social Work and hopes to one day open a multi-facility group home to house and nurture the state's and country's foster children.  Katie's life mission is to passionately pursue the Lover of her soul and express the redemptive adoptive heart of God to all.
