Right There by Rachel Madison

Right There was released on October 30, 2020. Written and Produced by Rachel Madison & Mike Stephenson at Classic Recording Studio.

This album, titled “If I’m Honest,” is very special to me. Not only was it my first ever album, but it was a dream that came true after many years of longing to record my songs.

The songs on my album were all written from very personal experiences I have had in my life; whether that be pain, grief, questioning, joy, realization, or just wanting to glorify God through all He has done and all He has brought me through.

The song “Right There” is a song I wrote one day when I was just playing around with some beats on my phone. No one was home and I had all the house to myself to start to playing around with creating it. Then came the lyrics and I just started writing down what I was dealing with at the time but also knew that whatever I was going through, God was and is always Right There.

SONG REVIEW

“Intimate & authentic”

Right There is a song from Rachel Madison’s album If I’m Honest. This song is lyrically raw & authentic, Rachel is saying what we’ve all thought during a low point in our lives. She ties in a simple and powerful reminder/message that no matter the season we’re in, the hurt we’re feeling, that God is always Right There.

I look forward to hearing more music from Rachel in the future.

LYRICS

Thinking about yesterday
How nothing has really changed
Will this waiting last forever
Used to have these hopes and dreams
Now they’re all just fantasies
Feels like I’ve been here forever

Maybe I don’t know where I’m going
But I know one thing
He’s got me

When you’re feeling low
About to let go
He’s right there
And when you’re on your knees
Begging praying God come please
He’s right there

Can’t stop crying tears come fast
How long will this waiting last
Feels like I’ve been here forever
Aching crying I don’t know
Why I’m here or where to go
Feels like I’ve been here forever

Maybe I don’t know where I’m going
But I know one thing
He’s got me

When you’re feeling low
About to let go
He’s right there
And when you’re on your knees
Begging praying God come please
He’s right there

Right there when you call him
Right there when you fall
Right there in the night when
You can’t take it no more

Right there when you call him
Right there in the pain
Speak out in the darkness
Speak out his name

When you’re feeling low
About to let go
He’s right there
And when you’re on your knees
Begging praying God come please
He’s right there

ABOUT RACHEL

I have been singing for as long as I can remember. I started writing music as early as I knew how to write. As I’ve gotten older, my writing has become more personal and more meaningful to me. It’s definitely my creative outlet and passion to write music that hopefully encourages and lifts others up. But most of all, I want to glorify God in all that I do, especially in my music. He gave me this gift and it’s all I can do to give everything I can back to Him!
